Američki duo iz Chicaga Ken Vandermark (tenor saksofon) & Nate Wooley (truba), promovirat će novi album koji će biti objavljen ove jeseni. Glazba koju izvode, organska je kombinacija jazz tradicije, slobodne improvizacije i moderne kompozicije smještene u njihov vlastiti sirov i intimni kontekst.
Ken Vandermark (reeds) and Nate Wooley (trumpet) had been operating in each other’s musical orbits for several years before putting together their first duo project in 2013 and regularly playing as a duo ever since. With this unique ensemble, they deal directly with each other’s iconoclastic compositional and improvisational vocabularies: Nate and Ken have worked together to create an organic combination of the jazz tradition, free improvisation, and modern composition, which they have then placed into the raw and intimate context of this duo. This group has released two CDs and an LP to great critical acclaim, and has toured extensively in Europe and the United States. The duo will be touring in support of a new album that will be released this autumn. Vandermark and Wooley will be performing material from that recording at the concerts during this trip.
